Inexpensive, easy to cook, tender and satisfying, Corned Beef and Cabbage proves a pleasing meal any day. The recipe cooks over 7 or 8 hours on low or 4 to 5 hours of cooking on high, for quicker preparation.
Slow Cook Corn Beef & Cabbage recipe
Serving size: 1
Ingredients
Thyme herb
1 tsp caraway seeds (Optional)
1 packet of corned beef brisket
1 carrot / half a packet of mini carrots
1 small cabbage (Cut into thin wedges)
1 medium potato (diced)
Dijon mustard, for serving
Steps
1: Add everything together.
Add the thyme, caraway seeds, beef, carrots, cabbage and potato and 1/2 cup of water in a slow cooker.
2: Slow cook it
Cook, covered, until the beef is tender, on low for 7 to 8 hours or on high for 4 to 5 hours (this will shorten total recipe time).
3: Slice the beef
Transfer the beef to a cutting board and slice thinly.
4: Serve!
Serve warm with mustard and thyme to taste
