We all want to reach our fitness goals in the fastest way possible or the most efficient method to get there. There are some questions we should ask ourselves!
#1: Determine your goals
What are you doing this for?
Lose weight?
Building muscles?
Bulking?
There are many different goals that one can have when creating their fitness plan/routine. We need to be clear about what our goal is as it would affect the fitness plan and how it would turn out.
By having a proper goal, it makes it easier to visualise and the formation of the plan.
These goals will shape HOW you build your workout plan so do give it a good thought!
#2: How much time do you have to exercise?
You don't need 4-5 hours just for one session of workout.
Developing an efficient workout is crucial especially if you have a busy schedule.
A 30 minutes HIIT workout could be more effective in burning calories than a 1-2 hours jog.
#3: Location to workout?
You can do it at the gym, park or even at home.
Why does the location matter? It affects the amount of work you can achieve and the type of exercise you can engage in.
Do take note that if you intend to go to a gym, most likely you'll have to pay for it!
The location is also dependent on your fitness goals! If you want to achieve better stamina, you can consider engaging in cardio exercises by running around the park. If you are into muscle building, you can consider a gym membership.
#4: Deciding what workout to do
View your fitness goal and see what are the requirements for it.
Example: If your goal is to run under 10 minutes for 2.4km, definitely you would have to work on cardio exercises. That would mean you probably have to undergo leg day and more cardio exercises and really sweat it out.
Deciding what workout to do is definitely important as this is the key step to helping you reach your fitness goals efficiently.
