What is a Keto Diet?
A ketogenic diet is a low-carb but high fat diet that focuses on caloric intake from protein and natural fats, and less on carbohydrates. It is diet that focuses on weight loss.
How does it work?
The aim of the keto diet is to put the body in a state of ketosis. Our bodies normally burn carbohydrates for energy, but when carbohydrates is restricted, the body then breaks down stored fat which in turn creates molecules called ketones to use as fuel.
